Menu Labeling

Ensure menus and items are properly labeled.
Trigger Labels
Provide clear, descriptive labels for menu triggers.
The trigger label describes the menu's purpose and is announced by screen readers.
Item Labels
Use clear, concise labels for menu items.
Icons enhance recognition but don't replace text labels. Screen readers announce both icon and text when provided.
Icon Labels
Icons within menu items are marked as decorative when appropriate.
Icons use aria-hidden="true" when their purpose is conveyed by text, preventing redundant announcements.
