File Upload

Keyboard Support

Accessible file upload controls ensure all users can successfully upload and manage files. When using FileUpload, follow these best practices. Ensure users can upload files and interact with upload cards using only the keyboard.
Browse Functionality
The browse button is fully keyboard accessible, allowing users who cannot drag and drop to select files.
Users can:
  • Navigate to the upload area using Tab
  • Activate the browse button with Enter or Space
  • Select files through the native file picker dialog
Card Interactions
When upload cards include interactive elements, ensure keyboard accessibility.
Users can:
  • Navigate to the remove button using Tab
  • Activate removal with Enter or Space
  • Navigate to clickable cards and activate them with Enter or Space
