Floating Toolbar

Accessibility

Import FloatingToolbar, FloatingToolbarPlacement from @prepared911/ui/blocks/floating-toolbar.
  • The row is a role="toolbar" named by label, always horizontal.
  • One tab stop. Tab enters on the first enabled action, the arrow keys (Left and Right, mirrored under dir="rtl"), Home, and End move inside, and the next Tab leaves. Restoring from minimized starts the tab stop over at the first action.
  • The minimize control is an icon-only Button that shows the X glyph; minimizeLabel is its accessible name and its tooltip.
  • Every action is a native Button whose visible text is its name. A toggle reports aria-pressed. A disabled action is skipped by the arrow keys.
  • The overflow control is a Button with aria-haspopup="menu" and aria-expanded. Enter, Space, or a press opens the menu on its first row; ArrowDown opens it too. Up and Down do not move between actions. Escape closes the menu and returns focus to the control. A toggle is a menuitemcheckbox row.
  • Minimized, the toolbar is inert from the first frame of its exit and visibility: hidden once the exit has played, so it holds no tab stop and no accessibility-tree node. A hidden, inert copy used for measuring is aria-hidden and inert and is never reachable.
  • Focus is not moved by the toolbar. When the minimize control had focus, the host moves it to its Dock item.
  • The placement layer passes pointer input through, so it never blocks the region under it.
  • Reduced motion (the operating system setting or data-motion="reduced") keeps the fade and drops the travel. Forced colors keep the tray border.
  • Secondary text uses a passing contrast tier; the block draws no text of its own.
